(poems) fourteen: Badger Tales

Under Cover Of Darkness

Under the cover of darkness,

Badgers leave their sett,

Wandering far and wide,

Until their needs have been met.

Badger Smadger

badger smadger black and white,

hunting wild in the still of the night,

sniffling snuffling what a sight,

home again by the time it's light.

Madge the Badger

a badger called madge,

had her name upon a badge,

in black and white twas wrote,

to match the colour of her coat.

A Badger in a Beret

have you seen the badger in a beret? he's making quite a scene,

smoking a fag, swearing in French, dressed up like a bad drag queen,

he's strutting his stuff, puffing his puff, and being horrid and mean,

he's not very nice, I'd give him a miss, cos he really is quite obscene.

Bad Badgering

I'll keep badgering and badgering and badgering all day,

I'll keep badgering and badgering until I've had my say,

I'll keep badgering and badgering and I will not go away,

I'll keep badgering and badgering until I get my way!!
